Examining substance-involved sexual experiences and consent communication by sexual identity

Substance use can occur prior to nonconsensual and consensual sexual activity affect how consent is communicated felt. Yet, researchers’ understanding of substance relates these experiences still developing. Few researchers examine behaviors among the intersection minority (SM) identity gender. The goal this study was assess if substance-involved activity, communication feelings varied by SM identifying as a woman. Participants were recruited from Prolific Academic panel complete survey about their use, experiences, consent. persons women reported more involved than heterosexual participants men. Consent did not differ across groups. Prevention initiatives for may want take an intersectional approach that addresses why different subgroups are at elevated risk coalesce two behaviors. Because gender, should expand discussion be inclusive often presented within heteronormative framework.
